Facelifted Hyundai i10

Hyundai will launch a this facelifted i10 before Diwali 2010. The new i10 revealed in this leaked image shows the little hatchback to have gained a more purposeful and aggressive stance thanks to a completely new fascia. The facelifted i10 gets a new grille, front and rear bumpers, headlights and tailights which give it a fresh new appeal.

Apart from these exterior modifications the new i10 will get a 1.0-litre VTVT engines as the base unit. This new engine will be more efficient and fuel efficient than the current 1.1-litre iRDE engine which powere the current i10. 2011 Chevrolet Aveo

Chevrolet has taken the covers off its next-generation Aveo ahead of the car’s official debut at this month’s Paris Motor Show.

The new Aveo follows Chevrolet’s new design philosophy which we have already seen on the Chevrolet Cruze and the Beat hatchback. The new model is decidedly more appealing than the current Aveo which has become a laggard when it comes to sales. First teaser of the new Lamborghini Jota

Lamborghini has released the first teaser shot of a new supercar which will be unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and will launch in early 2011.

Slated to be the famed Murcielago’s successor the new Lambo which many believe will be called Lamborghini Jota has built up considerable excitement amongst enthusiasts already. 2012 Chevrolet Cruze Hatchback

Chevrolet Europe has released first official images and details of the upcoming Cruze Hatchback which debut at this month’s Paris Motor Show.

The five-door Cruze hatch apart from the new body style is identical to the Cruze sedan and will feature the same powertrain, features and driving characteristic. It however will be slightly lighter than the sedan which should aid performance and fuel economy. Continue reading →

Hyundai ix20 teaser

Hyundai will reveal a brand new hatchback called the ix20 at this month’s Paris Motor Show. This new car is based on the 2008 HED-5 concept car and is expected to go on sale in 2011 in select markets around the world, possibly in India as well.

The ix20 was designed and developed at Hyundai’s European R&D centre in Germany and therefore boasts of European design cues and a taut exterior as can be seen from this teaser image which Hyundai has released. The ix20 is a large hatch and will be launched with a choice diesel and petrol engines and with manual and automatic tranmission. Continue reading →

Swift Parade 2010 (Gurgaon)

Maruti-Suzuki has launched a limited edition model of its best selling Swift hatchback in India. The ‘Swift One Million Edition’ commemorates Maruti’s feat of selling one million cars in India (achieved in March 2010).

What this means is that the new 2011 Swift we were hoping to get by 2010 end will now make its way to India only by mid-2011. That’s the art of prolonging the life of an ageing car model, which auto makers in India have mastered over the years. Continue reading →
