Force Motors to launch new SUV soon

Force Motors has announced plans to enter the passenger car segment by launching their first SUV in India by 2010 end.

Developed in-house the new SUV is said to be in advanced staged of development and has even been clicked in disguise undergoing testing. Force India’s Chairman told the Economic Times that the new SUV will be a completely new model and not related to its Trax rural MPV.

Not many would know that Force Motors is the sole engine supplier to Mercedes-Benz India and has all the manufacturing expertise required for producing this new SUV. Force also has reputation of making tough vehicles like the Trax and Tempo Traveller which have proven themselves in all terrains.

It will however have to tackle heavyweight contenders in the SUV segment to make their own product a success and also set-up a service network for private owners. Also the new SUV will have to be much more refined than its other products.
