Toyota Launches Refreshed Innova

Toyota Kirloskar Motor India today launched the much anticipated refreshed version of its best selling Innova MPV. The vehicle will directly compete with Mahindra’s recently launched Xylo although it is pegged at a higher price point. The base end Innova E is priced Rs. 7,66,000 , Innova G at Rs. 8,70,000, Innova GX at Rs. 9.45,000 and the fully loaded Innova VX is priced at a high-ish Rs. 11,06,000 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

There is not much of a change from the old Innova apart from some cosmetic modifications and spruced up interiors. The engine, transmission, suspension and all other technical components remain the same. The Innova now gets a new sedan like front bumper with skirts, sharper headlamps and fog lamps, sophisticated grille and LED tail lamps. The V variant will also get new set of alloy wheels. On the inside the Innova gets digital climate control, steering mounted audio controls and an in-dash CD changer. Toyota has not given the Innova an automatic trasnmission which could have improved its desirability for self-drive buyers.
