The 1 litre 3-cylinder DOHC KB10 engine produces a healthy 67 bhp and 90Nm of torque. What is unique is that the torque is delivered early in the powerband at 3500rpm making for easy city driving and less frquent gear changes. The KB series engine will also increase fuel economy by about 10% over current 1 litre Suzuki engines and will also be cheaper to maintain. Spark plug changes will come every 40000km as againts 20000km now and even the first oil change will be needed at 15000km instead of 10000km as of now.

This new engine is a litle “powerpack” its in our Suzuki Splash, GLS 1.ol K10B, and delivers here full satisfaction and low on fuel, about 19.8 km/l or 5.2/100km. But when clibing small hills (here in Denmark we have no real hills!)but use of 4 and gears are needed, in order not to overload engine.
Engine likes to take rpm.s willingly.
Altogether a fine litle masterpiece from Maruti INDIA.
Best regards with respect, from Povl Gade. Denmark.

Dear SIRS. I would be happy and gratefull if you would be so kind to supply me a general transparent drawing of this fine K10B engine, as driwing my Suzuki Spash GLS. As told before a real workhorse, who willingly likes to run like a pearl and good sound, tre cylinders has always been my choice of engines formerly diesels like Yanmar marine and industial engines, sold those engines for many years, now retired marine-engineer.
