
Toyota wants to take the green game further. There are rumours that Toyota is planning a hybrid version of it’s micro car, the iQ. The iQ is being worked upon to accomodate a plug-in system which will be shared with the next-gen Prius. The hybrid iQ must be able to manage about 100 mpg at the least to make sense as it will come at a higher price.

How would Toyota manage to package the batteries in a car this small waits to be seen. While Toyota will most certainly launch the iQ in Japan and Europe, if fuel price keep on the boil the iQ would find a market in U.S and other developed auto markets as well.
