Maruti Suzuki India hasnt given up on the M800 yet. Despite diminishing sales, the company has launched yet another variant of the 24 year old model, christened ‘M800 Uniq’. The Maruti 800 ‘Uniq’ has been made more appealing with cosmetic changes such as body graphics, beige upholstery, new fabric door trims & console box and a rear parcel tray. All this comes at a slight increase in cost by Rs 5,200 over the regular AC model. The M800 Uniq AC model is priced at Rs 2,16,376 (ex-showroom Delhi). The car is expected to be in showrooms by 4th August.
The M800′s sales are plummeting mainly because it does not give good value for money in today’s times. The Alto sells more than double volumes than the 800 while newer cars like the Chevrolet Spark priced at Rs. 2.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the basic AC model offer value conscious buyers more bang for their buck than the 800. Maruti knows this but wants to milk the cow for as long as it can.

According to me, cute baby spark is better package than 800 in the price band of 2.66 – 3.20 lacs, esp. in looks. but, dont why people still thinking only about maruti. am not saying maruti is not a good car, as we have a chance to get better features in the same price band..we can accept it.
Maruti cars are famous for its mileage and features and Maruti 800 has made a mind-blowing fame in Indian roads. And now it is launched its unique model and this car will definitely rock many of the Indian car buyers.
