IndiBlog wrote about Hyundai’s intention to bring in the new ‘Pa’ to replace the aging Santro in July 2006. Now the company has confirmed that the ‘under development’ Pa is ready for launch and would be out in the market before 2007 ends. India would be the first market where the new Pa would be launched. We have managed to source one of the first pictures of the ‘Pa’ (see below). The Pa retains the tallboy design of the Santro but is longer and wider which would add to it’s high speed and cornering stability while generating more interior space. The front end is attractive with chic headlamps and an aggressive bumper. The Pa dissapoints in the looks department from the rear which looks very similar to the Santro, also the tall boy design makes the wheels look puny. The interiors are very modern and better finished than the Santro.
Apart from the 1.1 litre unit from the Santro and Getz Prime the ‘Pa’ is reported to be fitted with a 1.3 litre next generation petrol engine and come with a CNG option. A 1.1 litre CRDI engine is also being considered. Expect the car around November 2007 festive period. The Pa should come in at Rs. 3.5- Rs.4.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)

if the price difference is not that much then it certainly is a better option.
could you please let me know the approximate price difference and also if the cng option will be successful in it or not because the present cng model has not got a very positive response.
Expect the new Pa to come in at Rs. 3.5 – Rs. 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
New design is looking good but the if the
price is reachable and reasonable,iam opting forthe for this.Looking for 3.5 to 3.75 lakh car in the current market.Expecting the same for the new Santro.Wait and see.
I think it is 1.3 litre crdi engine(diesel) and
1.1 litre petrol engine
expecting a crdi engine(diesel), but with a bigger size wheel,
14″ will be opt.
The front looks are quite appealing but the rear looks like a flop…..
I dont think this would last for time in the Market .
Overall the tall boy is going to be flop!!!!!!!!
This looks ugly and reminisent of the old Santro, The getz is a better option As I think there will ha hardly any difference in price between them while launched.

I stil love the earliest version of Santro.. ()1999 model.. The Erlx looks a bit hunched from the back as if due to old age.. and the new one PA looks like a pretty compact car..
Well but is hundai is launching P A CNG
Version with boot space or the
conventional cylinder available in local
market will be fitted as in the case of newly launched CNG Santro resulting in to total loss of boot space.
This is awesome really and this is what all
indians were looking for and with 1.1L power house it ll surely have a good mileage too.
Also if 1.1L CRDi available then nothing to say grab it coz its d best.
As hyundai product are really reliable.
Front looks very nice, Back not that much good. Expected price would be 3.5 to 3.75L.Present competetion price should be low.

As i am looking for new car,I want following points to get cleared with Pa.
1)Exact Price.
2)Milage.
New Santro seems to be very beautiful from
front & back but rear light is spoiling
its look.
Engine is not known.
Crdi will be very good and even if it is
petrol engine Co fitted CNG kit will be good
option.
For parts Co should also do homework as they
are not having dealer network for parts as
in the case for TATA MOTORS & MARUTI.
But car is really good one go and grab it.
Well I found here that the price will be between 3.5to 4.5 lakh but just wondering what will be the average. It should be better than Santro or Xing Model.
