Daimler Chrysler India is expected to set up a new plant in the vicinity of Pune. The company currently has a manufacturing facility in a compound which borders the Tata Motors facility. The current plot belongs to Tata Motors and had been leased to DaimlerChrysler India which is not going to be renewed. The existing plant is going to be dismantled and moved to the new site. Finally Mercedes will have its own facility with the adequate capacity to meet the growing demand for the luxury marque. Mercedes has off late seen phenomenal sales for its range, dominated by the E class, S class and lastly the C class. The next launch in line from Mercedes in India will be the updated M Class.
