that Hyundai Motor India has GIFTED 100 brand new accent sedans to the Chennai Police. This makes the Chennai police the most sophisticated in terms of police wheels as compared to any other city (hopefully the cops can now start chasing crooks). This move has raised suspision that the Accent is indeed going to be phased out and that Hyundai is clearing stock. However i havent seen any car company being so generous that it gifts away cars to state departments. However the Accent is at the end of its tenure and the new and very capable Verna is all set to take over. How long Hyundai continues to sell the Accent (at huge discounts) is something we have to wait and watch.
